FAQs
How long is each lesson?
Every lesson is 30 minutes.
How many children are in each class?
Our group lessons have a maximum of 5 pupils per class.
How long will it take for me/my child to learn to swim?
There really isn’t a definitive answer for this as everyone is different and everyone learns at their own pace. At Waves Swim School we develop everyone at a pace that will maintain the pupils confidence, safety and enjoyment. Swimming, like many other skills in life, requires time, patience and lots of practice!
What do I need to bring with me for my swimming lesson?
All you need to bring with you is an appropriate swimming costume and a towel. Goggles can be used but are not essential. We will provide all other equipment for your lesson, including noodles, flotation devices, equipment and toys. It is compulsory for all non potty trained children to wear a double swim nappy system. This consists of a disposable/washable swim nappy and a snug fitting nappy cover over the top.
Is there swimming during the school holidays?
No. All of our swimming lessons run term time only. Term dates and prices can be found on our website.
